Thankyou for Cycling Support
Great news! Sudlows have successfully raised a Grand Total of £2837.00 for Francis House Children’s Hospice, way exceeding our original target of £2,000!
This was a huge increase on last year’s event when we raised an impressive £1519.00
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all who sponsored our team, giving so generously for such a worthy cause, and well done to all the riders for reaching the final destination!
Peter Forster from the Francis House charity was delighted at our efforts and will be featuring Sudlows in their next newsletter, “That is a really superb effort... please pass on our thanks to the whole team for your wonderful support.”
Again, well done everyone and do spread the good news and thanks to all the suppliers, friends and family who gave so generously.

Three Peaks Success
Earlier last month, adventurous hikers Dave Worsley and Collin Hallett confronted three of the UK’s highest mountains for the traditional Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The challenge was a real test of their stamina and in spot on 8 hours they completed the walk, reaching Yorkshire’s highest summits Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) and Ingleborough (723m), and back to the beginning again. Next stop Ben Nevis and Snowdon...?? Here's some of their pictures, well done guys!

Sky's No Limit!
The latest craze to hit the Sudlows office is cycling and for the second event since last month's Charity Bike Ride, speedy cyclists John Collins, Chris Dummett and Chris Hurst took to the city centre streets at the weekend for the 12km Manchester Sky Ride.
Joined by their families, all commented on the fantastic atmosphere of live bands, wacky fancy dress and mini theatre-staged performances along the route, which surely made it a great day out!
They were joined by thousands of others who turned out for a fun summer ride, even cycling stars like Victoria Pendleton and Bradley Wiggins.
Whatever next for our cycling fanatics...?!

The Sudlows Cycling Champions
The Sudlows Charity Team rode over 60 miles at the weekend, starting at Old Trafford in Manchester and finishing on the South Promenade, Blackpool.
The fantastic team of 22 set off at 8am sharp (followed by a couple of stragglers), cycling over the tops with the luck of some half decent sunny weather. However, the last 10-20 mile slog greeted us with the delights of heavy rain and a head wind to challenge even the quickest riders as everyone battled to the finish line.
The challenge was worth it - one of our keenest cyclist finished in a crazy 3hrs30, whilst others finished on a more relaxed pace of 8hrs. Darren Stephens said, “Everyone really put everything they had into the bike ride. Everyone who took part last year improved on our times and we’re thrilled with the amount of support we’ve had raising money for Francis House Children’s Hospice. We’ve raised an amazing £1205 so far with hopefully lots more to come".
If you’d like to reward our efforts visit out Justgiving page www.justgiving.com/sudlows.
8am: Smiling faces at the starting line

A well deserved pint!

Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride
Sudlows will be riding from Manchester to Blackpool next month to raise funds for Francis House Childrens' Hospice.Francis House is a very special Hospice caring for terminally ill children, who have been diagnosed with having "no cure". It's therefore very unlikely these children will become adults, however Francis House is a fantastic facility focussed on improving the quality of their short lives.
For every hour the Hospice needs £222 just to stand still - to pay for the fabric of the building, lighting and so on, as well as pay for the care they provide, such as nursing, physiotherapy and a whole range of specialist care.
The more money we raise the bigger difference we can make to the lives of these children. The easiest way to donate is through our Justgiving page. Visit www.justgiving.com/sudlows.
Find out more about their work at www.francishouse.org.uk
